SIOP 2018 Chicago Conference Debrief Session – Current I/O themes and trends in the International Market

Join us for an evening with our guest speakers: Dr Guy Curtis (Registered Psychologist, Murdoch University), Mr Jon Bilson (Registered Psychologist, Centauri) and Ms Neesha Seth (Registered Psychologist, PeopleSense) who will be sharing current Industrial/Organisational Psychology themes and trends from the recent 2018 SIOP Chicago Conference.

The 33rd Annual Conference for SIOP gathers professionals and organisational psychologists from all over the world to share, hear and learn about upcoming trends and themes in the global industry.

About the speakers:

Dr Guy Curtis

Guy Curtis is the Head of the Discipline of Psychology, Deputy Dean, and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Exercise Science at Murdoch University. He has worked as an academic and consultant for over 20 years. Guy is an author of 30 peer-reviewed journal articles in a range of areas in psychology and, at Murdoch, he principally teaches in post-graduate organisational psychology. Guy has won several university teaching awards including the 2017 Murdoch VC’s Excellence in Teaching Award. In addition, he is a registered psychologist and a member of professional organisations in social and organisational psychology.

Mr Jon Bilson

Jon Bilson is Psychologist, Organisational Development professional and experienced Senior Manager with management consulting experience across a wide range of industry sectors. With a background in Human Resource Management, Business/ Corporate Strategy and Organisational Development, Jon has worked as a Management Consultant for over 20 years.

Drawing on his experience as a senior manager, corporate psychologist, organisational development and change management practitioner and business consultant, Jon has assisted clients to effect long term cultural change via developing their people, projects, commercial awareness and opportunities for innovation within their organisations.

Ms Neesha Seth

Neesha Seth has over 10 years’ experience working with some of Australia’s largest organisations across retail, logistics, oil and gas, public sector and not-for-profit organisations, delivering organisational and counselling services. Neesha is a trained and experienced TV and stage presenter, presenting most recently on Foxtel Australia, long-term (10 years) executive board member of the United Nations Association Australia (WA Division) is also currently the State Lead of the United Nations Association of Australia Young Professionals WA Chapter. Neesha’s background enables her to apply cultural sensitivity in all her practices and leverage her cross-industry experience in the field of organisational psychology to optimize well-being, productivity and performance within an organizational setting.
